Wrecking Shop!

This was a tiny office building unit in the middle of our office plaza court yard. It think it was once used by FedEx as a drop off location. It's been a moldy storage room since we've been here. I think Bryan mentioned that they were going to turn that spot into a garden or fountain. Either way the tearing down and clean up of the building is shaking the foundation of the office, making it a little hard to hear and focus... Although it is neat to see a building come down, even small ones.

Fat Kid Loves Bacon is Today's BIG Thing - AUG 31, 2009

This just blows my mind. The kid is simultaneously super cute and ridiculous all at the same time. Amazing! "You WILL NEVER... SEE... MY FACE Again!"

Hungry for a new Computer or Phone? Where's that old one going?

Interesting piece by 60 Minutes called The Wasteland. Doesn't quite stop me from lusting after a New MacBook Pro but it does make me wonder what are truly the best ways to recycle our old Technology... with out completely ruining a town & the people who live there or with out it just ending up in a land fill anyway.

Hmmm....

In the terminal at TSAIA waiting to board. Getting really tired & we've got about 12 hours of travel time ahead of us.

We've got a couple of cranky, whiney toddlers, a handful of grouchy retirees and 30 people heading to Mexico, it should be exciting! Hopefully we'll catch some shuteye on this redeye!

Myspace, you're dead to me... Eeven in Alaska!

It's sad really. I met my wife on myspace, I put my band together on myspace and even made a considerable amount of money on deals fostered through relationships that started on myspace. But Myspace fell behind. It became bogged down with elndless self promotion from bands and web cam girl spam bots. And now as I sip Glacier Mint Tea in Kaladi Brothers in Downtown Anchorage, AK surrounded by bearded Alaskan Hipsters on their iPhones it becomes clear; Myspace, you're dead to me. Twitter and Facebook will most likely meet the same end but for now they're totally on top, Even in Alaska.

(No offense to any Alaskan natives or transplants, I just realized everyone here has an iPhone and and not everyone voteed for Sarah Palin.)

Honeymoon Day 5: Ketchikan

Pulling out the port of Skagway... Off to Glacier Bay!

We're leaving Skagway after a long day of taking a train to The Interior & B.C, Canada, walking a sky bridge and touring a gorgeous organic garden & cafe, plus hanging with some locals in downtown Skagway and drinking spruce ale high in Vitamin C! Great day! The next two days we're glacier teritory, no cell towers so we'll catch up in a few days!

Honeymoon Day 4: Day At Sea

A Whale of a Good time...

We saw 7 or 8 Humback whales today, it was truly awe inspiring. One of them breached 3 times out of the water... Even our tour guides were suprised. It was a really cook site. Of course my battery died it the good camera while trying to capture all of that so that sucked. All in all a great day!

In Ketchikan, Alaska: zipplined for the 1st time this morning...

It was cold, wet & Awesome! We saw a black bear. We walked in the rain around town, met some cool locals and watched salmon do their thing heading upstream. Now it's time to warm up, dry off, grab lunch and maybe catch star trek at the ship theatre. Plenty of pictures to come. Next stop Juneau!

Leave it to the Tech Guy to totally blank out & forget about AT&T not being in Canada.

And at $15.00 a MB using Rogers is not an Option! Fortunately WiFi is strong in our Hotel.
