You know what iTunes could use? Tags!!!
I mean seriously! Let's say I'm listening to The Clash. Well, some Clash songs are Punk, some lean more Reggae while others were bitten by the Funk and Disco bugs respectively. Generally speaking it's all Rock music, and I might group it in a Punk category. But now I want to create a playlist of Reggae punk jams that are only studio recordings, without thinking about it. Just create a smart playlist. Man, Tagging songs and/or albums would sure come in handy for that. Just saying. ;) -Joe

Friends Aloud iOS app brings Facebook to your ears
Played with this app for a few minutes today... it's an entertaining way to stay up to date with your Facebook News Feed, kind of a novelty, but great for being in the car or jogging. I'd like to see a twitter version of this app as well. 
Friends Aloud, a new iPhone app from from VoizApp, reads your Facebook feed to you in the voice of a young woman, letting you catch up on social networking while driving or doing other tasks.

iPads are for sharing...
They're reading websites, watching videos and ... Wait for it... Working. Yup on a Saturday no less. Scheduling appointments, reviewing PDF's and balancing a checkbook.
None of this is ground breaking of course, it's just so cool to see two people collaborating and getting work done while lounging in a waiting area without a bunch of cables all over the place and with devices that are so small you barely even notice they are there.
The future is now.

Although this may seem trivial to some, for those with young kids these tips can really come in handy.
I've had a few clients lately who have come face to face with the harsh reality that unmanaged iPhones and iPod Touches can be very, very expensive.
Before handing down your old iOS device, do your self a favor and take a few minutes to think about how easily your little one can push the "buy" button. About a couple hundred times a month.
Yeah, that's a sweet bill.
YouTube spending $100 million to compete with broadcast TV
This move is a no brainer to me. The combo of on demand and live steaming of both original and licensed content is exactly where YouTube should be spending money to grow viewership.
Think about it, videos of your kids and pets doing silly stuff right along side live streams of international sporting events, concerts, and Kevin Spacey! Talk about the democratization of media!
Of course I also envision a declining Comcast cable bill being supplemented by a ballooning Comcast Internet bill.
But hey, at least We'll have several billion channels to choose from. :)

Now there's a headline. I'm excited to see this film, but almost positive it will suck. Not because of who the director voted for, but because of the rushed nature of the filming and release.

Hackers Creeping into Digital Music Files. Hmm

This article reeks of "scare" news to me. I think some of this is possible but really after the media is burned it's going to take over your car? Like skynet? C'mon.
Can anyone one back this up? I'm no programmer but this sounds like total BS! Let me know if you can explain how this would really work.

I'm pretty sure the only song I "love" from the Foo Fighters is "Ever Long" that said Dave & Co put on an excellent Rock Show. Grohl is having the time of his life on stage, he let's you know it and he wants you to do the same.

For new Mom, Smart Phone's are essential.
In a recent study about Mobile Moms, BabyCenter found that becoming a mom is a trigger for embracing the mobile devices, which can be ironic as our mobility is mostly limited to moving between the kitchen and the all-purpose living room/nursery/home office/dining room. The study cites Morgan Stanley data that estimates 2011 will be the year where more smartphones and tablets will ship than notebooks and desktops. More than half of moms they surveyed said they purchased a smartphone as a direct result of becoming a mom. The camera became the most important usage for the phone, and apps to help keep herself organized and her kids entertained went from not needed to essential.

I'd say this is pretty spot on with a lot of my clients, friends and my wife. The iPhone is how Kristen (my wife) can stay on top of FaceBook happenings, work, news & gossip. She's snapping pictures & video of our little one daily and streaming Pandora, MOG and YouTube on the regular. And don't forgt Texting, Emailing and even making Phone Calls!
She still say's she'd like a laptop for those moments when Flash is needed or the small form factor hinders things like filling out forms or writing longer email messages.
But over all, the iPhone is her gateway to the world and I see this as a common theme with all of our friends that are relatively new moms. And I especially see it with with many of my clients who have become more dependent on their iPhone's then they are of their Desktops & Laptops.
Times they are a changing.
